Opening May 20th with “Something for Everyone”

Upgrades Across the Park and New Dry Attractions featuring Laser Tag and a Full MEGA Arcade

All Active and Retired Military Personnel Get Free Admission on Memorial Day (May 29th)

Poplar Bluff, MOMay 15, 2017—Hydro Adventures, Missouri’s premier water and amusement park, with a complete family entertainment center for endless family fun and entertainment, today announced that it will open at 11am on Saturday, May 20th. The park features a number of upgrades and new attractions including a 4,300-sq. ft. full MEGA arcade and an indoor Laser Tag arena.

The park will honor all military veterans and active duty members on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th, with free admission.

Following an exceptional 2016 season under the management of United Parks, Hydro Adventures is continuing the park’s transformation into “two parks in one”.  As part of the capital investment made by United Parks, in the last 12 months Hydro Adventures has added a 55-foot high, 1,700-foot-long Galaxy 500 steel rollercoaster for adults, and classic “Scrambler” ride for the whole family.  Hydro Adventures’ other dry attractions feature a state-of-the-art family entertainment center, batting cages, mini golf, the region’s only Go-Karts, and many other fun-filled rides and attractions for everyone.

The park’s water park features a wave pool, lazy river, mat slides, tube slides, a body slide, and children’s area. The park’s beach-themed snack bar, “Good Time Gilligan’s Oasis”, has also been completely refurbished to provide a full range of refreshments and food options.

“Hydro Adventures has transformed into the most dynamic amusement park in South East Missouri featuring both dry and wet attractions for the entire family,” said Barrett Byers, Director of Park Operations for United Parks. “In addition to our current suite of rides, activities, and family entertainment center, we have spent considerable resources to thoughtfully upgrade all facets of the park, including providing a full range of food and beverage options, a new Laser Tag arena, and a MEGA arcade with 38 games and the opportunity to win exciting prizes. We are excited for the upcoming 2017 season, the longer summer hours, and additional year-round activities.”

Edgar Novoa, Operations Manager of Hydro Adventures, added: “I am looking forward to Hydro Adventures’ most exciting season ever. The park has been renovated and completely reinvigorated, and guests of all ages are guaranteed to have a blast any time they visit.  Visitors know they have a full day of affordable entertainment ahead with our full assortment of rides and attractions for kids and adults, whether lounging on our lazy river or pumping adrenaline on our Scrambler. What a great way to kick off the 2017 season with free admission to our active duty and retired military personnel on Memorial Day.”
