Educational Encounters and EXPERIENCES THAT MATTER
EXPERIENCES THAT MATTER - Introducing new, inspiring, natural orca encounters:
SeaWorld San Diego recently introduced new, inspiring, natural orca encounters as part of our ongoing commitment to education, marine science research and the rescue of marine animals. SeaWorld’s orcas continue to live at the parks’ state-of-the-art habitats where they inspire millions of guests each year to take action with SeaWorld to protect wild animals and the places they live.
This new orca experience reflects the natural world and focus on the research, education, care and respect that align with our mission to advance the well-being and conservation of these beautiful creatures.
Our existing show pools and viewing areas were redesigned into a more naturalistic setting and we continue to present the whales at scheduled times before a guest audience. This exciting transformation recently debuted in our San Diego park in May of 2017.
Watch below as SeaWorld trainers and staff give you a peek of this new and exciting orca encounter.
We constantly update our programs to educate the public about these incredible creatures and how they behave in the wild. Our Orlando park has already introduced Ocean Discovery - an educational, interactive presentation that teaches guests about adaptation, habitats and behavior of orcas. This is in addition to our popular One Ocean program, which is on track to transition to a new, engaging and educational presentation, with no interruption to the guest experience.
